During OD's expeditions, Sylvia is doing all the still photography in front, behind the scenes and underwater, but her personal interests are focusing on people in remote places and forgotten cultures. Sylvias work has been published in Magazines, Newspapers & Books like "Washington Post", "Business Bestseller", "PM Magazine", "Das Piratenschiff", Abenteuer & Wissen - "Das versunkene Piratenschiff", to name but a few.

Sylvias photographic work and interests in the sustainable development of cultural tourism products have brought her also to Haiti, Brazil, the Amazon Region, Madagascar, the French Comoros, Seychelles, Reunion and Mauritius were she studied the culture in rural areas, thereby establishing direct contact with the local people in their villages.

Especially working with children in remote areas has become a great passion in Sylvia's life. "It is our duty to make sure that these children get an opportunity to learn all about their own culture and history, only that will make them proud of who they really are. A public outreach program starting in primary schools will help to achieve that" - Sylvia Krueger
