The Oceans Discovery Foundation has a mission to accomplish, a mission to leave our children and our children’s children with an ocean environment filled with hope.
International experts, television executives, ocean explorers, corporate sponsors and private citizens who are concerned about our planets marine environment and the ongoing destruction of our cultural heritage underwater, have established the Ocean Discovery Foundation (ODF).
Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, a crew of scientists, divers and filmmakers are sailing on a large catamaran in support of the Foundation’s efforts to scientifically explore, document and preserve irreplaceable natural and historical marine resources. During that mission the Foundation will document a selection of the most important underwater heritage sites in the world. Through the use of film and television programming produced on board the catamaran during her sailing adventures, the Ocean Discovery Foundation will engage in an extensive, world-wide public outreach program in order to create more awareness for the preservation of our precious natural and historical marine resources. |
The project will include the development of cultural soft adventure tours to archaeological marine sites as well as provide an opportunity to test newly developed underwater equipment - ie. Mini-subs, ROV’s, dive gear, cameras and other u/w technologies. |
