Below you will find some of the Ortlieb Outdoor equipment that we have tested during our latest filming expeditions in the southern Caribbean.

Besides many of the smaller, but extremely useful things like Map-Cases, Document Bags, Walkie-Talkie Bags and First-Aid Bags, Water-Bags and Water Sacks, we have valued especially the use of the larger Bags for our very sensitive filming, photography, light equipment, computers and naturally our personal stuff.

Our favorites where: Big-Zip, Travel-Zip, Aqua-Cam, X-Tremer. In those bags we managed to carry our underwater camera housings and lights to the boat and stored them safely during the entire expedition. The camera bag for our still camera kept stubbornly the water away even by extreme wave action and almost a luxery for us; we even had dry clothes to change.

However, one of the most useful items of the lot proofed to be a "simple" Dry-Bag. After one of our equipment cases did not arrive in time, containing some of the underwater lift-bags we usually use, we had to improvise quickly with something else that could do the job. As one can see the Dry-bag did the work, as a matter of fact it did the job even better because we could fill and manouver the bag much easier with the attached new light-system we were testing at that time.

New products - Collection 2008

• A new backpack model waits to be inspected: it’s called: D-Fender , it’s made of the robust PD 620 fabric, and its specialty is the waterproof TIZIP zip integrated and protected in the foam padding on the back side. The ideal pack for mountain biking and motorcycle touring!

• A brand new and super light weight dry bag line takes off: our new material PS 10 is extremely thin, ultra light weight and very durable. Sizes are available from 1.5 L / 91 cu.in. to 75 L / 4575 cu.in. These bags are also ideal as waterproof internal liners in other non-waterproof bags and rucksacks.

• The continued run and demand for our bags in the colour combination white-black resulted in a small production line called 'White-Line'. It includes various bike and travel bags with a stylish horizontal light grey ORTLIEB logo print

• The favourite for commuters Office-Bag experienced further upgrades and improvements: new colour variations in PD 620, improved internal design, effective edge protectors at the lower corners.

• Redesign of the cult bag: improved back padding of Messenger Bag and Messengerbag Pro, additional new edge protectors at lower corners. Since these modifications proved to be quite good, they were also taken over for the small counter model, the Velocity.
