Jean-Philippe's (JP) scientific knowledge is second to none when it comes to identifying rare fish species, their behaviour and the environment they live in. These skills are extremely important for highly specialized documentaries and scientific underwater shoots.

Lumbadive dive centre is located in Tyrrell Bay, Carriacou Grenada. It offers PADI dive courses from novice to advanced divers. Lumbadive is a certified Beuchat- Dive Center. Lumbadive's motto is "Live and protect the Ocean". The company loves to share its love of nature, knowledge and behavior of aquatic life. Lumbadive has been operating for the past 7 years in Carriacou and is a fully licensed dive operation. It specializes in personal attention and confidence building. Lumbadive operates in over 25 dives sites, that are still untouched, featuring a wide range of coral and fish life from Gorgonians to black coral trees, nudibranch, schools of jacks, turtles, sharks, barracudas, eagle rays, small creatures and a lot more. Languages spoken are English and French.

The owner Jean-Philippe is a PADI Master scuba diver trainer and open water instructor, with over 15 years of experience covering all aspects of diving. JP, as everyone is calling him, is a born Jamaican, he is fluent in English and French, and the coordinator of a knowledgeable and professional team of seamen and divers. He has been diving the Caribbean Sea, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean and the Pacific Ocean. He was the founder of “Dive Indonesia” in “Gillis Menno” north of Lombok, Indonesia. He likes to say “the only thing I’m good at is….diving”.

JP spent his youth free diving often with a spear gun. As he discovered at the age of eighteen the aqualung his passion of sea life exploded. Longer time under water converted this fisherman in to a vivid nature lover. Education of diving and sea life in books encyclopaedias, film and diving schools brought answers to this young Jamaican free diver. JP was lucky enough to meet diving pioneers like Billy Deen, Glen Evans, Dominique Serafini ,Mel Fisher a.o.

Understanding the marine life was a turning point that brought JP to discover and to understand the amazing and some yet unknown underwater creatures. It’s in Carriacou now that he has decided to base him self to share his passion.

Clair is a dive master and guide originally coming from London, England. She will surprise you with aquatic creatures that most divers do not usually notice. Clair is the organiser and will make you feel relaxed and cared for. If you need anything small or out of the ordinary she will be there for you.
